Coffee Island & Ammousa: A special flavor collaboration starting from Patras

We are extremely proud of our collaboration with the international coffee chain Coffee Island. This is a unique flavor collaboration that starts from Patras and brings these two worlds together, with a shared focus on quality, deep knowledge of raw materials, and a drive for creative experimentation.
The flavorful result of this effort is the Ammousa Tropical Stout (7% alc.). In this dark beer, which is characterized by notes of coffee, chocolate, and vanilla, Coffee Island's Single Estate Colombia Huila specialty coffee was harmoniously integrated. This specific coffee, with its distinct aromatic profile of orange blossom, fig, and caramel, added even greater depth, complexity, and a truly unique character to our award-winning recipe.
To reach the final result, our team worked closely with Coffee Island's R&D team. Together, we conducted tests and exchanged expertise in order to select the ideal coffee that would highlight the character of the Tropical Stout without altering its identity.
The dynamic nature of this beer has already been proven, as the Ammousa Tropical Stout recently won the Silver Award at the Greek Beer Awards 2026 and the title of Best Product at AFFA 2026 by EXPOTROF.
Now, selected Coffee Island stores host both the Ammousa Tropical Stout and the Ammousa English IPA with ginger in their fridges. Through this initiative, the public is given the opportunity to get to know a different, gastronomic side of Greek microbrewing up close.
